EUPHORBIA Polychroma
There are over 2000 species of Euphorbias in the world with new varieties being bred all the time. They have a unique flower structure and a significant percentage is succulent, mostly originating from Africa and Madagascar. The Euphorbias are named after a Greek surgeon called Euphorbus. He was physician of Juba II, and is supposed to have used their milky latex as an ingredient for his potions.Highlights: A delightful rounded, bushy perennial, valued for its fresh green foliage and bright yellow bracts during spring. Application: An attractive addition to the garden. Situation: Best in a sunny or semi-shaded, well drained position. Care Height: Hardy. Height 50cm. |
