Penstemon Blackbird (Beardtongues)

Deep reddish-purple, trumpet shaped flowers are held on tall reddish stems above dark green, narrow, lance-like foliage and forms an upright, bushy clump. Flowering from spring through to autumn.

Highlights:

Evergreen. Attracts bees and butterflies. Free flowering. Rabbit resistant. Semi-hardy.

Application:

Great for borders, coastal areas, containers, gardens, mass planting and cut flowers.

Situation:

Plant in well drained soil in a sunny, sheltered position.

Care & Height:

Height to 80cm and width to 60cm. Remove spent flower spikes to encourage further flowering. Cut back hard after flowering. Protect from strong winds.
