COPROSMA Lucida
Common name: Karamū. A compact small tree/shrub with large, thick, glossy green leaves, which are paler underneath. Red/orange berries and seeds can attract birds from Jan-June.
Highlights:
Wind, frost and heavy soil tolerant. Also tolerant of coastal or exposed areas. Attractive to bees. Evergreen.
Application:
Great for hedges and coastal or exposed areas.
Situation:
Although it is tolerant of any position, it does prefer a moist, partly shaded spot.
