Podophyllum Kaleidoscope (Mayapple)

Umbrella shaped leaves are variegated with silver, green and purple markings throughout spring and summer. Has a clump forming habit. Clusters of deep maroon flowers that hang beneath the leaves in summer, followed by yellow, fleshy fruits.

Highlights:

A rare and unusual plant. Low maintenance. Easy to grow and care for. Great for shady areas of the garden.

Application:

Great for pots, shady areas, mass planting, under planting, borders, banks & slopes.

Situation:

Full to part shade. Prefers moist, humus rich soil and should be protected from late frosts in colder regions. Good in both exposed and sheltered positions.

Care & Height:

Height and width to 50cm. All parts are highly toxic if ingested. Wear gloves and wash hands after handling.
