Agave Ray Of Light (Fox Tail Agave) - available Dec 2024
A stunning perennial that produces elegant rosettes of wide, flexible, pale green leaves adorned with a fine white streak running the length of each leaf margin. Emerging from a tight center the pliable leaves arch gracefully back. Mature plants have spectacular flowering stalks up to 3m tall that reflexes towards the ground before arching up again, resembling a foxes tail. Bares pale greenish yellow flowers that give way to seed pods.

Drought and coastal tolerant. Virtually disease free.
Application:
Great for beds, borders, coastal areas, rock gardens, containers and succulent gardens.
Situation:
Plant in slightly acidic, sandy or gravelly, well drained soils in full sun. Will tolerate part shade, particularly in hot desert gardens.
Care & Height:
Height to 120-150cm and width to 180-240cm. Protect from frosts. Watch for slugs and snails.
