Phormium Dark Delight (New Zealand Flax) - available from May 2024

One of the darkest NZ flax varieties. Arching, narrow, dark reddish-brown leaves. Tall flowering stalks with tubular red flowers appearing in summer.

Highlights:

Flowers attract birds for nectar. Tolerates salt, drought and a wide range of soils. Virtually disease free.

Application:

Great for beds, containers, mass planting, borders, coastal areas, gravel and city gardens.

Situation:

Plant in well drained, average soil in full to part sun.

Height to 90-120cm and width to 90-150cm.
